Carved salt block dissolved outdoors in Western New York state over the course of a year and a half.

tree hugger, 2017-ongoing, marble, powder-coated welded and forged steel, hinge, screw, live tree, stone: 5 x 9 x 7 inches, steel: 48 x 7 x 15 inches.

A tree (species TBD at placement) grows inside the marble sculpture until tree and sculpture are one, or one gives way. The base is designed to be removed once sculpture is supported by tree.
