Wishbones.

pile of rocks in sculpture studio

Wishbones is a collaborative community sculpture project in which Susan Begy invited community members to share their stories. The stories could be about anything important to someone:  anecdotes, poems, memories. People could share their troubles or worries or joys. They could tell her their dreams—what they wish for. Or they could give observations on life. Reflecting on those stories, Begy carved a pile of raw alabaster rocks into a series of intimate, abstract sculptures. Curated by Annalisa Barron, Wishbones was created during an artist residency at a literary organization, Writers & Books in Rochester, NY,
